Santa Mini Sessions in North Georgia | Inspired by Aaryn Williams

Wow!!! It’s a fun story how these sessions came about, and it all started with Aaryn Williams! We both lived in Georgia for a short time, at the same time, and I had the pleasure of doing family and newborn portraits for her.

Around the same time we both ended up moving back home—her to Texas and me to South Carolina. She did the cutest session with her girls in Texas, and some of her followers asked if she could recommend a photographer in Georgia to do a similar session! She recommended me, and I was able to get enough families together to host a day of minis with Santa!!! (Thank you so much, Aaryn! Be sure to follow her on YouTube if you don’t already.)

I was very nervous about these sessions, but wow! I couldn’t be more pleased with the outcome! They are better than I could have ever dreamed up. Everything came together perfectly, and they were without a doubt the most fun I’ve ever had taking pictures. Seeing the kids light up when they saw Santa and go crazy eating cookies was just the best! <3

Before showing you guys the portraits, I have a LOT of people to thank. This was a huge team effort, and I couldn’t be more grateful to these friends for helping me:

Karen Salter — She is the BEST realtor in North Georgia. She let me use her personal home for the sessions, and was so generous and giving of anything and everything. They would not have been possible without her. PLEASE look her up if you need a realtor. She is an angel.

Meredith Jamison — All of the decorations you see in the portraits came from her! I don’t normally use props for sessions, but she does, and she was more than willing to let me use them. I can’t thank her enough!

Alisha Millwood, Your Wedding HQ —I knew these pictures needed some lights for a little extra magic. I reached out to her and she had the perfect string light backdrop for us to use. SUCH A WIN! Thank you so much, Alisha!

Sherrie Richardson — My mother-in-law! She let me use her KitchenAid mixer and a few other baking goodies that were Christmasy. Thank you!!

Santa!! Thank you so much for being there and getting the kids to smile! It wouldn’t have been the same without you! <3 I highly recommend him if anyone else in the North Georgia area is looking for a Santa! He does home visits too!

And also just a huge thank you to my husband for dealing with all my crazy ideas and supporting me in this business. The drive to Georgia and then to Tennessee afterward would have been YUCK without you. I am grateful for all of your help!

Ok! On to the portraits. I’ll get right to it, but I want to first thank every family who came out. Each of you was so, so amazing. Thank you for trusting me with your portraits and for letting me sugar-load your kiddos and get flour all over them. I had so much fun. Let’s do it again next year!!

My passion is in documenting the lives of our families well (mine and yours), and teaching you how to do it too. Follow along as I share photography tips, inspiration, and beautiful portraits.
