I am so excited to finally share Briana + Taylor’s engagement photos!! Every year in January I do a big giveaway for an engagement session, and Briana + Taylor were this year’s winners!! We decided to wait until the spring time to schedule their session, that way it would be a little warmer, and then we ended up having to reschedule multiple times because of our schedules and getting rained out. BUT—we finally set a date and made it happen!

They wanted a farm/field setting, and I knew T&S Farm would be the perfect location. It has a beautiful red barn, big fields, horses…all things southern, country, and beautiful! It actually did rain on us during the session, but we kept going, and it stopped after a few minutes. (One of those quick summer showers!)

Most people who have been following me know I started shooting film last year, and have really been incorporating it into every session/wedding I photograph. For Briana + Taylor’s session, I decided to try a new film stock, and I LOVED how they turned out. Portra 800 is a little moodier than my normal light and airy style, but you really can’t go wrong with any kind of film! The colors in these are so vibrant and beautiful, and really helped the images shine on such an overcast day.
