This wedding day felt like a really long time away for a long time. Everyone used to pick on Ashton + Blake about when they would get engaged, and it’s crazy to think that their WEDDING DAY has already come and gone! Today it has been one month since they said, “I do!”

Every wedding day is special to me because it means a couple has trusted me to sneak into their lives for the day and capture what goes on. They trust me to tell their story, and I don’t take that lightly. So, every wedding day is so, so special and means so much. This wedding day though, was extra special for me. I’ve known Ashton since high school and she feels more like family than just a friend. Her wedding day was a day I got to really enjoy because so many of MY family and friends were present too! I loved getting to see so many faces of people I love, and to just hang out with them, celebrating Ashton + Blake.

I never know what to expect going into a wedding day—will something go wrong? Will the bride be stressed? Will the groom be grumpy? With a big event like a wedding, things are bound to not go exactly as planned, and I always wonder how the day will unfold before it starts…but whether things went right or things went wrong on Ashton + Blake’s wedding day—I didn’t even notice because all day they were so, so sweet, and kind, and excited about getting married. Ashton made me feel like a friend, and not just her photographer, and Blake was sweet and kind and so fun to be around too.

I really can’t say enough good things about this day or this couple—I really will cherish the memories of it forever. I’ll stop for now and let the pictures tell the rest of the story.

Ashton + Blake…YOU’RE MARRIED, and I just couldn’t be happier for you guys!! I am grateful I got to be there to celebrate with you, and that you love film as much as I do because these are some of my most favorite images ever!
