Eek! It’s finally here!

For those who haven’t been following along, let me explain! I started shooting medium format film this year, and have been SO pumped about it. To get some good practice in, I decided to put together my first ever styled shoot!

What’s a styled shoot, you ask? It’s essentially a photo session where all of the details are styled and planned by various wedding vendors. Styled shoots are usually put together for wedding inspiration, and are a great way to:
1. network with other wedding professionals
2. market your skills
3. get those creative juices flowing!

In my case, all of the above were awesome benefits, but I really put this thing together to practice photographing with film…and it was a success!! I was in LOVE when the film scans came back. I was pretty nervous about trying to edit my digital photos to match my film photos, but it was a lot easier than I expected. It was actually kind of…fun!

This post is full of film photos, amongst some digital photos too.

I am so grateful for every single vendor who contributed to this shoot. Thank you guys so much for taking a chance on me while I learned a new medium of photographyβ€”I hope you guys love the outcome as much as I do! YOU guys are the ones that made it all possible, and so, so beautiful!

Alisha,
Thank you for coordinating the shoot and getting Seibels House, Brittany, The Groomsman Suit, and all of the rental companies on board!

Kate,
Thank you so, so, so much for letting us invade your space for the afternoon. Seibels House is SUCH a beautiful venue. Any couple would be THRILLEDΒ to get married in such a gorgeous, historic house, surrounded by the prettiest of gardens.

Elegant Bridals,
Where do I even begin?! Thank you for saving the day at the last minute! We were so upset when our first prospect for a wedding dress fell through the week of our shoot, and were elated when you guys said we could borrow one of your beautiful dresses for the day. The trip to Georgia was ABSOLUTELY worth it. Not only did we have the best experience ever with your staff (seriouslyβ€”we felt so taken care of), but the dress was STUNNING! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Tupelo Grove,
When I came up with the overall style of this session, I knew the flowers were either going to make it or break it. (Tip for couples getting married: splurge on flowers!Β They make everything more beautiful, including your images!) I KNEW when you guys jumped on board for the shoot, the flowers were going to be pretty, but I had no idea they were going to be PERFECT. I seriously could not have dreamed up, or found on Pinterest, a more perfect bouquet for this shoot. If I were getting married again, you guys would be the first people I would call!

Brittany,
Thank you so much for making our models really shine!Β Even Mike’s makeup helped give his facial features umpph. (; Thank you so much for spending your afternoon with us and doing such a fabulous job!

The Groomsman Suit,
Talk about exceeding my expectations! I didn’t know what to expect from a suit that comes in a box.Β I thought for sure a suit that gets delivered in the mail couldn’tΒ be too great….I was 100% wrong. Not only did our suit options come perfectly packaged, and WRINKLE FREE, we were impressed with the actual quality of the suit! You can tell just by looking at it how well-made it is. Thank you for making our groom look so sleek!

Leen Machine,
Girl, do I even need to brag on you? Your work speaks for itself. You always do such a fabulous job. I wish my scriptΒ was as beautiful as yours! Thank you for making our invitation suite so beautiful!

Nikita + Mike, all the rental companies, and Glaze’n,
Thank you ALL so much for showing up to our shoot, contributing your talents + goods, and making everything so seamless and beautiful.

And a huge overall thank you again to eachΒ wonderful vendor, and to everyone viewing this blog post and the images. Thank you for believing in all of us and supporting our small businesses!
