When Vicky reached out about having me photograph her wedding, I had no idea we had so many connections. First, I realized that one of her best friends is Alex (a close family friend of mine), and then I realized that my husband was on a baseball team with Zach. Such a small world! Come to find out though—their story is so similar to mine + Tyler’s! I met Tyler in Spanish class in 8th grade, and we started dating in 10th grade. 6 years later (after college), we got married, and the same is almost true for Vicky + Zach! They also met in their 8th grade Spanish class, and then started dating in 9th grade and are planning a wedding for after college. It’s so neat how similar our love stories are. <3

At first, we weren’t sure if we could make it happen to do their photos at Williams-Brice Stadium, but we did! We had the entire stadium to ourselves, and it was so weird being there with the place empty. We couldn’t decide if it looked bigger or smaller without all of the people in it.

After doing a few photos at the stadium, we decided to end their session at the South Carolina State House. It is one of my FAVORITE locations for photo sessions, and it did not disappoint. These are seriously some of my favorite photos I’ve ever taken there. Even though I shoot there often, I always walk away with completely unique pictures for every couple or family. Be sure to scroll down to the end—Vicky + Zach are. so. adorable. You don’t want to miss all of their sweetness and the pretty colors of spring. <3

My passion is in documenting the lives of our families well (mine and yours), and teaching you how to do it too. Follow along as I share photography tips, inspiration, and beautiful portraits.
