CJ and Jessica met me at this cute little spot by the river this week for their engagement pictures and we couldn’t have asked for better weather. I get SO excited when the weather is this beautiful. I could take pictures for days with couples like these two in the perfect fall weather.

When I first met CJ + Jessica at Starbucks to talk wedding details, I was so excited they liked me as much as I liked them. I squealed when I got in my car afterward, called up my husband and yelled, “TYLER, I’M A WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER AND IT IS SO COOL!” I went on to explain how much I loved CJ + Jessica and how exciting it is that I get to photograph couples in love all the time. Seriously…it’s the best job in the world, and couples like these two make it so easy!!

Standing in front of a camera is nerve-wracking, and makes you feel so self-conscious (I speak from experience when I say this! Being in front of the camera is so much different than being behind it, and I recognize that). I always try my hardest to help couples feel comfortable, and to remember why they’re there: to announce their engagement and show off their love! CJ + Jessica were so good at it! Every time they looked at each other I melted a little. They were so easy to be with and photograph. CJ said hello to every person we walked by, nuzzled and hugged Jessica like she was the sweetest girl in the world, and Jessica’s beautiful smile lit up her face brighter than the sun.

Needless to say, I can’t WAIT until their wedding day, because I know it’s going to be a good one. Enjoy some of my favorites from their engagement session, and be sure to give these two a big congratulations!! They’re ENGAGED!!
