I was looking forward to this session from the moment we decided to do it at Pine Island. But when the day came, I was extremely sick. I was 4 months postpartum, and two weeks post getting my appendix taken out, and I had mastitis from nursing. (For those who don’t know—mastitis is like having the flu. It is TERRIBLE.)
But I knew I couldn’t cancel because the weather was beautiful, Kaitlynn had already scheduled her hair and makeup, AND she already had a bouquet made by the florist. I figured I could either be miserable at home doing nothing, or I could be miserable getting out and doing what I love. My mom had taken off work to help me out with the baby that day, so I asked her to come with me just in case I needed anything.
It turned out so great. I started feeling a little better, and was able to enjoy the session. The lesson to learn here? You don’t have to worry about me backing out on a session unless it is SERIOUS. Haha. I am dedicated!! <3 I just love my clients so much and I know how much these sessions mean to you, and how much time and effort you put into them!
And I’m still just in awe of how beautiful Kaitlynn looks in that dress. Isn’t she just stunning?! I can’t get over it! And believe it or not, she looked even more amazing on her wedding day. More pictures from that sweet day to come soon!
Enjoy my favorite bridal portraits of her!
Photographed on Fuji 400h medium format film.
