Writing this blog post is really sad because it feels like a break up. Katherine has been the best, most up-lifting bride throughout her entire engagement, and now that her wedding photos are done, I’m so sad we won’t be in touch as much anymore! She had confidence in me from day 1—from that very first comment on my Instagram saying she was interested in learning more about my wedding packages.
If you’ve been hanging around for a while, you probably saw Katherine + Richmond’s engagement photos here and Katherine’s bridal portraits here. And if that’s the case, then you know I went to college with Katherine (which feels like a lifetime away), and we were in the same major and part of many of the same clubs.
I’ll never forget how I felt whenever I left her and Richmond’s engagement photos—I was elated. In marketing, we always talk about finding the perfect “target audience” or “ideal client,” and friends, I knew from the beginning Katherine was my girl! She seemed to love hanging out with me as much as I loved hanging out with her, and she was so excited about the work I was doing. She texted me after the session and told me I made them feel comfortable and that even Richmond had a little fun during their session. #goals.
Their wedding day was just as delightful. We had perfect weather, and Hightower Hall was the perfect place. Their outdoor ceremony was gorgeous, and every detail of their reception was stunning—the Mr. and Mrs. table, the photo booth, their wedding favors, all of it! They wrote each other beautiful notes, fist bumped and did hand shakes with their bridal party and family coming down the aisle, laughed at each other’s silliness, and had the best time dancing the night away in celebration.
It was a good one friends, and that’s why this post is so long—I just couldn’t leave anything out. Enjoy my favorites from their sweet day!
Katherine + Richmond, I love you both and wish you a lifetime of happiness!!
