Pretty much every wedding is my favorite, but when I say this one was special, I really mean it. I’ve known Marykate since 2005, and she is one of my favorite people EVER. Not only is she sweet to her core, but she is so laid back, creative, and fun to be around! Jordan is the perfect match for her because he has these same exact qualities—so, so sweet and a joy to be around. Their wedding day was FULL, I mean FULL, of meaningful moments.

The first moment that really stuck out to me was early in the day when Marykate’s dad saw her for the first time. They hugged, and laughed, and cried, and MK said the sweetest thing—she told her dad that everything was perfect and thanked him for such a beautiful wedding. It was such a touching moment to hear her show so much gratitude toward her parents. That was the first time that day I shed tears, and it was far from the last. As the day went on MK + Jordan laughed and cried together and it was in the small moments that their love really poured out: a sweet kiss on the hand, whisper in the ear, hand on the back—it was a day full of love that was not just witnessed, but really felt by everyone there.

I could go on and on about how sweet of a day it was and how honored I was to be there, but I’ll leave it at this: a wedding day is so much more than the pretty decorations, the beautiful details, or the dress you pick out—it’s about the memories you’ll make, the laughs you’ll share, and the truest of loves that is spilled out and catapulted into the world for everyone to see.
